Last night marked the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our school community as 16 parents attended the first of 24 scheduled English language classes. The initiative, aimed at helping parents of English Learner (EL) students, had a promising start, with participants not only learning English but also building connections with each other and the school.
The classes, provided by OLA, offer lessons and materials tailored to support parents in enhancing their English skills. This collaboration strengthens the partnership between families and the school, fostering a sense of community and support.
"We were thrilled to see such a great turnout," shared a school representative. "It's wonderful to witness parents not only learning but also engaging with each other. We're excited to continue this journey with them over the coming months."
The school district plans to maintain and expand this partnership, ensuring that these opportunities remain available to the families who need them.
