SCHOOL IS CLOSED
Due to unexpected power outages, fallen trees, and flooded roads, Murray County Schools will be closed today. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. Please stay safe and take the necessary precautions.

Dear MCS Families,
We hope this message finds you well. We wanted to inform you that Murray County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay tomorrow Tuesday, January 9, 2024. This decision is based on the forecasted high winds (gusts up to 60 mph) that may impact our area during student pick-up time for buses.
The safety of our students is our utmost priority. The delayed start will allow our bus drivers to conduct pickups during daylight hours, ensuring a safer journey to school by navigating any potential debris or challenges caused by the weather.
We greatly appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter as we prioritize the well-being of our students and staff.
Thank you for your continued support of Murray County Schools.

🏀✨ Our Bagley Middle School Blazers brought their best to the court today! They had the opportunity to play against our neighbors, the New Hope Middle Kodiaks, at the Skyhawk's Gateway Arena in College Park, Georgia!
It was all about sportsmanship and teamwork as both teams battled it out! 🙌🎉 A great chance to strengthen ties with our neighboring school district while showing off our skills! Congratulations to both teams on a great game and this exciting opportunity. 🌟 💪🏀#YouAreMurray#OneWhitfield#rivalsbutfriends
Murray County Schools is playing some great basketball all around the county! Make sure to check school websites and social media for game schedules!

Early Dismissal Tomorrow to begin Christmas Break!

The Murray Madrigals, a combination of the student chorus groups from Woodlawn, Northwest, Eton, and Chatsworth Elementary, spent the day Monday spreading Christmas cheer loud for all to hear! We love this tradition and look forward to seeing them each year. Great job, Murray Madrigals! And thank you to the excellent music teachers who organized the day!

MCS Families - We would like to let you know about an upcoming distance learning day designed to ensure the efficiency and reliability of our distance learning systems. On Friday, March 15, 2024, Murray County Schools will observe a district-wide Distance Learning Day. This means students will not be at school but attend through distance learning at home.
This day serves as an opportunity for us to refine our online learning platforms and ensure, if needed, that we are prepared to deliver exceptional education by distance learning.
Clear expectations and assignments will be communicated well before the designated day.
MCS business offices will operate normally, and administrators and staff will be in the school building engaged in professional development.
Your continuous support and understanding during this initiative are greatly appreciated. Thank you for being part of our commitment to delivering quality education.
