✨ Good News Spotlight! ✨
Today’s spotlight shines on Monica Hart from the front office at Spring Place Elementary!
Monica was nominated by parent Jonathan Roach, who shared:
“Monica always smiles at everyone and makes sure to give a warm welcome to Spring Place School. She always makes kids smile—she loves her job, and all the kids like to copy what she does when she does the intercom as checkout or calling out a bus number or grade.”
Thank you, Monica, for spreading joy and kindness each day! 🌟

This week, we celebrate our amazing Murray County Schools Psychologists, pictured here: Gaye Garrett, Jennifer Cook, and Misty Donahoo.
Thank you for the care, dedication, and expertise you bring to supporting our students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. You play a vital role in helping our teachers, families, and schools understand and meet the unique needs of every child.
We are truly grateful for the difference you make each day in Murray County Schools! 🌟

Today we’re shining the spotlight on one of our amazing bus drivers, Mr. Jody Jones!
A Northwest Elementary parent recently shared:
“Since day one of my kids riding this bus, this driver has been one of the best humans I have ever met. You can tell he sincerely cares about the kids on his bus... As a mom that is overly protective about her children, I adore this driver for always making sure he goes above and beyond.”
She went on to say that, after working in the trucking industry and in safety for eight years, she “appreciates a good driver when [she sees] one.”
Mr. Jones, thank you for the care, safety, and kindness you show every single day. You remind us that it’s not just about getting our students where they need to go — it’s about making sure they feel safe and cared for along the way. 💛🚌

Your contribution through the Georgia PEACH Education Tax Credit can make an immense difference in the lives of Georgia’s students — and it gives you the ability to choose where your state tax dollars go through a dollar-for-dollar income tax credit.
Know a local business owner? Businesses can participate too — helping strengthen education and opportunity right here at home.
It’s not a new tax or extra cost — it’s simply an option to keep your existing state tax dollars working right here in Murray County Schools!
This year’s PEACH projects include:
- Greenhouse Restoration
- CTAE Equipment Updates
- Special Needs Playground Equipment
Be sure to select Murray County Schools from the dropdown list when completing your form at

Together, we can make a difference for our students and our community — without paying a penny more!

Today’s Good News Spotlight shines on three incredible Special Education paraprofessionals at Bagley Middle School — Amy, Tiffani, and Gina! 💙
These ladies are known for their caring hearts, positive attitudes, and dedication to meeting not only the academic needs of their students, but their social and emotional needs as well.
Brittnee Slaughter, who nominated them, shared, “They are the most loving and caring group of ladies. They go above and beyond each day and always have a smile on their faces.”
Amy serves both at school and in the community through Brown Bridge Ministry, Tiffani lends her time and talents to FFA and showing pigs with her children, and Gina — with more than 20 years of service — continues to faithfully care for her students each day.
Thank you, Amy, Tiffani, and Gina, for the light, love, and dedication you bring to Bagley Middle School!

Our Gladden Middle School Builders Club showed true citizenship yesterday as they helped place flags at the courthouse in honor of our Veterans — even working through the rain to make sure each flag was placed with care. ❤️
We’re so proud of these Gladden Warriors and thankful for the leadership of Mr. Bishop and Dr. Etheridge.
A huge thank you to Murray County Family Connection for sponsoring the club’s t-shirts and awarding them $500 for future service projects! Their generous donation was made possible through funds raised at the Chamber’s recent Dancing with the Murray Stars event — where Commissioner Noah Bishop danced and raised money for Murray County Family Connection. 💃
Stay tuned — we’ll be sharing a special video from this meaningful day on Veterans Day! ❤️🤍💙

Bring the whole family and join in on a night full of football, fun, and Halloween spirit!

The district is proud of these players, coaches, and staff for an incredible season so far — congratulations on this outstanding accomplishment!

Eton Elementary’s walking trail has long been a great resource for our students, families, and community — and now it has even more to offer! Thanks to United Way’s Make A Difference Day, a new Born Learning Trail has been added to help children learn and explore through play.
We celebrated the project with a small ribbon cutting, and we are so grateful to our United Way partners for making this possible and to our Murray County Schools Maintenance Department for helping install the posts and bring this addition to life.
We hope you’ll stop by, take a walk, and enjoy this fun new learning experience with your family! 💙
